Katie has seen lots of people struggling with fertility and having bariatric surgery to assist with increasing their fertility. Having completed the Nutrition Plus Fertility for Dietitians course recently, there is so much more dietitians can help with in terms of how diet impacts on your fertility (both female and male!) regardless of your weight. When using weight loss medications, it's really important to ensure you are getting in what you really need in a smaller volume of food! You might be losing weight, but adequate protein, fluid and other nutrients are required to ensure you are not losing too much muscle mass or causing nutrient deficiencies. These can affect your long term health, including your bone health. Long term strategies for  are required, also if you are ceasing medication.
